WAPDA Dasu Hydropower Project has been established for the execution of 4320 MW hydropower project funded by World Bank. The project is a run of river project on main Indus River 07-km upstream of Dasu town, and 350-km from Islamabad. The project is located in District Upper Kohistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Province. Applications are invited from energetic and experienced candidates (Citizens of Pakistan) to fill the following positions on payment of lump sum package in Dasu Hydropower Project on contract basis not liable to be regularized  initially for 02 years (extendable up to 05 years on satisfactory performance):

Extensive  knowledge  on  KPK  cultures and societies, particularly on Kohistan.	50 years
3.	Dy. Director (D/S Impact Management)	18	01 (Open Merit)	-Master degree in Fisheries / Wildlife / Forestry with specialization in Agriculture from university recognized by HEC. -Knowledge of computer applications / operating system. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.	8 years of experience in the field of environment   in   public/private   sector including two years’ experience in project coordination. Experience in working with water related mega projects specifically in implementation of EMP in hydropower projects. Experience in working with World Bank or other donor funded projects is preferable.	50 years
4.	Dy. Director (Environment)	18	01 (Open Merit)	-Master          degree          in Environmental Engineering / Environmental sciences from the university recognized by PEC/HEC. -Fluent in English Language. Knowledge of computer applications / operating system	8 years of experience in the field of environment in public/private sector including   two   years’   experience   in project coordination. Experience in working with water related mega projects specifically in implementation of EMP in hydropower projects. Experience in working with World Bank or other donor funded projects is preferable.	50 years

5.	Dy. Director (Communication)	18	02 1-Open 1-Punjab	-Master    degree    in    Mass Communications/ Journalism/ Education / Computer Sciences or any  social science discipline;  media work experience will be considered asset. -Knowledge of computer operating system. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills	8 years of experience as a communication/media      specialist      in government / private sector or in large project setting. Familiarity with communication  and public disclosure guidelines of the World Bank and other development partners. Good training and work experience in media (print or electronic) and public communication Demonstrated work experience as communications/public relations specialist, preferably with donors agencies Extensive knowledge on KPK cultures and societies, particularly on Kohistan.	50 years
6.	Assistant Director (Gender & Community Health)	17	01 (Open Merit)	-Master    degree    in    Public Health Technology/ Sociology/Social Work/ Community Health Sciences. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability     to     write     reports independently.	5 years of work experience as a gender and community health specialist in large projects (e.g., hydropower, irrigation) dealing with gender issues, community health related issues, mainstreaming gender aspects in project planning and implementation. Familiarity with gender policies of multilaterals and bilateral agencies and their work experiences in Pakistan. Extensive knowledge of gender analysis in large infrastructure projects in remote communities like Kohistan in KPK and sensitivity to local cultural context and traditions. Demonstrated experience of implementing GAP in large project context, training and empowerment.	50 years
7.	Assistant Director (Occupational Health & Safety)	17	01 (Open Merit)	-Master    degree    /B.Sc.     in Environmental Engineering/Environmental sciences with specialization in occupational health      and safety   from   the   university recognized by PEC/HEC. -Fluent in English Language -Knowledge of computer applications / operating system. Experience in preparation of project reports will be an asset.	5 years of experience in the field of environment in public/private sector including two years’ experience in project coordination. Experience in working with water related mega projects specifically in implementation of EMP in hydropower projects. 8.	Assistant Director (Consultation & Participation)	17	01 (Open Merit)	-Master degree in Sociology/ Anthropology or Social Sciences discipline. -Knowledge of computer applications / operating system. Excellent written and verbal communication skills	5 years of experience as a consultation & participation specialist in government / private sector or in large project setting. Familiarity with consultation and participation guidelines of the World Bank and other development partners. Demonstrated work experience as consultation and participation specialist, preferably with donors’ agencies. Extensive knowledge on KPK cultures and societies particular to Kohistan.	50 years
9.	Assistant Director (Land Acquisition)	17	01 (Open Merit)	-Law Graduate (LLB etc.) with 5 year experience of revenue and resettlement in a senior executive post. -Knowledge of computer applications / operating system. Excellent written and	5      years      working     experience     in government / private sector or in large project setting. Familiarity  with  Land  Acquisition  Act 1894 and its subsequent amendments. Familiarity with land acquisition process and  implementation of  land acquisition	50 years

INSTRUCTIONS & GENERAL CONDITIONS:-

i. All Candidates will be selected on merit, observing the quota as per Federal Government policy.

ii. Candidates applying on appropriate application form for the post available on NTS website will only be considered for short listing.

iii. Serving candidates are advised to apply Through Proper Channel.

iv. Only short listed candidates will be called for test / interview.

v. No TA / DA will be allowed to candidates for test by NTS and interview by WAPDA.

vi. General age relaxation has already been included in the age mentioned against each category. No further age relaxation is allowed in the prescribed age limit.

vii. Original documents must be presented by the candidates at the time of interview.

viii. Candidate may contact NTS for any query/enquiry regarding written test, display of provisional and final list of candidates, roll number slips, test centers, results etc.

ix. WAPDA reserves the right to withhold the recruitment process at any stage.

x. Last date for submission of applications is 19.03.2015.

HOW TO APPLY:-

i. Application Forms shall be downloaded from National Testing Service (NTS) website i.e. www.nts.org.pk

ii. Eligibility of a candidate shall be determined on the basis of academic record and short listing will be made by NTS and test (to be conducted by National Testing Service) and later interview by the WAPDA Selection Boards.

iii. Candidates shall submit application forms duly filled in alongwith test fee of Rs. 425/- in favour of National Testing Service, copy of CNIC and two recent passport size photographs directly to NTS through courier on the address mentioned on Application Form NTS HEADQUARTER, 1-E, STREET NO. 46, I -8/2, ISLAMABAD within 15-days of publication of advertisement (UAN: +92-51-844-444-1)

iv. Test fee shall be paid in any branch of UBL, MCB, or ABL on prescribed Bank Challan (attached with application form downloaded from NTS website i.e. www.nts.org.pk Incomplete applications or applications carrying incorrect information shall be summarily rejected.

v. Roll No. Slips containing the information regarding test center, timings and test date shall be separately dispatched directly to candidates by NTS at least one week before the test.

vi. Candidates can also download their Roll No. Slips from NTS website.

vii. Application submitted by hand will not be entertained.
